The GP2 Asian Series 2009/2010 follow its course with the second scoring round to be held this weekend at Yas Marina Circuit, Abu Dhabi. Spanish driver Dani Clos will participate in this race with the Trident Racing team as the reason in preparation for the European season, which starts in mid March with the dispute of the first official testing, to be held at the French track of Paul Ricard. Spanish driver Dani Clos, always willing to help the disadvantaged, and with the approval of its main sponsor, Majestic Hotel Group, as well as Trident Racing and organization of the GP2 Series, has decided to use its advertising space the car to send a message of support to the Haitian community, which passes through difficult times after the earthquake on 12 January, which reached a magnitude of 7.0 degrees on the Richter scale causing a depth of 10 km, which has meant the almost total destruction of the capital, Puerto Prince, and leaving an untold number of deaths, as has been considered one of the most serious humanitarian disasters in history.Help Haiti! ... Donate! The message is simple, but clear and strong. Mean to say that the sports world also wants to help Haiti and encourage all their fans to help this population. Any number is good; any help is invaluable for a population that has nothing. So ... for them, the Spaniard, always willing to put their bit in helping against the disadvantaged, his helmet auctioned among its fans, and will donate all proceeds entirely to one of the NGOs operating in Haiti, and later in an official press release will let you know.
The helmet will be auctioned off towards the end of the season, because as stated the president of Haiti, Rene Preval, was very helpful the initial reaction, but "solidarity must also be extended to long term."
"I don't have any word to express the horror and pain you feel when you see on the news all that is happening in Haiti." - says Dani from Abu Dhabi.
"That is why we wanted to put my little grain of sand and encourage everyone to donate, no matter the amount; any help or act is good. I think from the position we have athletes, is a good opportunity to give our full support while we are also making people aware that Haiti needs our help."- says Clos.
Today in the Yas Marina Circuit is being finalized all the details so that tomorrow he can start the action on track. The GP2 Asian Series, this weekend will share the track with the 'Chevrolet Supercar Middle East' and 'Porsche Middle East Championship'.
